Things you probably don't know!!

My name is Nehemie Suzin. I was born in Haiti and I am a Scorpio. I am the oldest of 3. I have a brother and a sister. When I first moved to the US, I lived in Philadelphia, then a year later my family decided to move to Columbia, Maryland then after I left for college, we moved to St Cloud, FL which is Orlando. I speak 3 languages, French, Creole and English.
My journey in the US till now has been hard, exciting and knowlegeable. I learned a lot about myself and I am still learning. At the beginning of my high school year, I had very low self esteem. I was learning the language so I wasn't confident enough to speak in class, make friends or even be my normal self like I am with family. I had to do a lot of soul searching that first year. Deep inside I knew that I was this beautiful, outgoing, funny girl but I really didn't know why I didn't feel comfortable showing that side of me.
After high school, I attended a community college near my house for a year because my parents didn't think I was ready to go away to college. At first I was dissappointed but that year thought me so much about who I am and Who I wanted to be. I met my first love that year. He was a bad boy for sure, which is what attracted me to him the most and did I say he was HOT. He had that southern charm which I would die for. He was the type of guy who didn't baby me, he was honest even if what he had to say was going to hurt me. He gave me confidence; actually he didn't give me confidence, he just helped me find the confidence that was hidden inside me for the longest time. I learned a lot from him and I am so glad that I met him because he has a lot to do with who I am right now even if it didn't work out.
I decided to move to Boston for college. I just graduated last May with a bachelor of sciences in Biology. I am taking that year off to work but I am currently applying to PA schools for next year. College in Boston was so much fun. I met a lot of people those 4 years that I will never forget. My best friends Laurabeth Fritzpatrick, Sarah Oliver, Gretchen Ortiz and my favorite Reginald Agenor. I learn a lot from all of them. Sarah thought me a lot about communications. I have the tendency to curse or get physical when I am mad so she thought me ways to calm down and have a normal conversation even when I want to kill the person (not really). Laurabeth is sucha sweet girl, she is so calm and collective through anything, she thought me to be patient. Gretchen is a good listener so I loved going to her room to vent about life. Reggie is my favorite(oink) he is my rock, he thought me how to manage my money, he helped me with school homework, he bought me my first coach bag (lol) and more. I don't think there is enough space for me to talk about all the things he has done for me. I want to say thank you to all my friends, close ones and acquaintances because without you guys I wouldn't be ME.

  1. This was really a pleasure to read. I appreciate your honesty. I think, there's a tendency, when talking about the self, to gloss over the negative and accentuate the positive but you've shared it all. I hope you keep posting. The blog world needs more honest people like you.
